Risk Managment Maturity Tool

The innovative RMMT process is:
  • based on leading-edge research in risk and opportunity management
  • benchmarked against best practice in many industries, including; mining, manufacturing, construction and energy.
The RMMT measures risk management maturity in eight dimensions:
  • culture, processes, awareness, skills/experience, image, application, confidence and resources.
Risk management maturity is categorised using a simple on-line survey at four levels:
Level 1 -    Ad hoc – no structured and documented approach to deal with risk.
Level 2 -    Managed – risk management processes exist but are inconsistent.
Level 3 -    Sophisticated – structured, systematic and mostly consistent risk management processes.
Level 4 -    Integrated – a strong culture of risk and opportunity management is imbedded throughout.

The RMMT output
Your organisation’s risk management maturity is summarised in a simple spider diagram which can be used to track its risk management maturity development over time. The difference between the inner and outer profiles indicates progress in improving risk management maturity over time and highlights areas which still need further attention.
